March 20, 2020:
As the COVID-19 situation evolves, our team is taking all precautions necessary to maintain the safety of our staff and our clients. In order to do so we are continuing to make adjustments to both our schedule and the hours of operation.
First we will be reducing business hours to provide more opportunity to sterilize the building and equipment. Beginning Monday March 23, 2020 our office hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 8:30-12pm until further notice.
In order to limit exposure of client to client interactions we have transitioned to curbside drop off appointments only. This means you call upon arrival and a team member will escort your pet into our office for their scheduled appointment. After the appointment our doctor will call with any findings and to answer any questions you may have. We will accept payment from your car or you may pay by phone.
We are requesting any non-essential appointments such as nail trims and anal sac expressions be postponed until further notice. If your pet is currently scheduled we will see them but will not schedule any further routine procedures and will only be scheduling time sensitive appointments until further notice. An animal with an injury, an illness, vaccines that are due or any animals with signs of illness will be considered time sensitive and will be seen. If you are unsure if your pet should be seen please do not hesitate to call and any of our team members would be happy to discuss your pet’s symptoms.
We appreciate your understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to update as any further adjustments are made.
March 19, 2020:
In response to the Corona virus pandemic, we have made some modifications to our appointments. At this time we are operating on a lighter schedule and only accepting curbside drop offs to eliminate client to client contact inside our building. This means you call upon arrival and one of our team members will come and escort your pet inside while you wait! Our doctor will give you a call and go over any exam findings and answer any questions you have. We will be taking payment methods from your car window or by phone.
The American Veterinary Medical Association currently has the following to say in regards to our pets and the Corona Virus:
"Infectious disease experts and multiple international and domestic human and animal health organizations agree there is no evidence at this point to indicate that pets become ill with COVID-19 or that they spread it to other animals, including people." However they also noted "Out of an abundance of caution, it is recommended that those ill with COVID-19 limit contact with animals until more information is known about the virus. Have another member of your household take care of walking, feeding, and playing with your pet. If you have a service animal or you must care for your pet, then wear a facemask; don’t share food, kiss, or hug them; and wash your hands before and after any contact with them. " You may find this and more information at https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/animal-health-and-welfare/covid-19
As this dynamic situation changes we strive to continue providing quality care to your loved pet(s). We are currently opened for regular business hours, however this is subject to change as we follow the recommendations set by the CDC, American Veterinary Medical Association and other top officials. We will keep you notified of any changes of hours or procedures. We appreciate your understanding during this situation and would be happy to answer any questions at 352-373-7208.
We hope everyone stays safe and well during this pandemic
